Stories from Abroad – Images, Sounds and Installations
Stories from Abroad presented art resulting from the temporary re-location of 105 artists and made visible the stimuli provided to their artistic work and development by an international residency grant of the BMKOES. In an impressive show, including performances, diary slam, discursive program and curator-guided tours, Away Art Residencies opened up this significant part of Austrian art promotion to a wider public and stepped into the limelight for the first time. The exhibition was set up on 2,700 m² in the former Post and Telegraph Office at Zollergasse 31 in the seventh district of Vienna.
